Lighttpd as reverse-proxy & load balanser for web-servers cluster

Added by raven_kg almost 13 years ago

Hello! I need to configure a cluster of Web servers with the ability to distribute the load. I have 3 site with Apache and a free site that I want to install lighttpd as a reverse proxy load-sharing between servers with Apache (version with Apache + lighttpd-frontends are also available). But nowhere I can not find documentation on the implementation of the balancer on lighttpd. In a network many references that it's possible, but concrete examples of the config file I've never found it. Could you suggest (preferably with examples) ka it can be done?

P.S. Sorry for my English - it translated by translate.google.com :)

It´s not lighty´s strength, choose sth. more stable/flexible like varnish, haproxy or nginx.
