subdomain hosted elsewhere

Added by evaggelos about 10 years ago

If the domain is evaggelos.com...

The domain is defined as:
$HTTP["host"] =~ "^(www\.|)evaggelos\.com$" {
server.name = "evaggelos.com"
server.document-root = "/home/user/public_html/evaggelos"
accesslog.filename = log_root + "/evaggelos.log"

}

A typical subdomain entry looks like
$HTTP["host"] == "subdomain.evaggelos.com" {
server.name = "subdomain.evaggelos.com"
server.document-root = "/usr/local/www/subdomain"
accesslog.filename = log_root + "/subdomain.log"
}

How would I have a different subdomain that is hosted on a separate server using a different IP address?
Thanks for any suggestions.

set the ip for the subdomain to the other ip? like subdomain.domain.tld is pointing to 127.0.0.2 and domain.tld to 127.0.0.1.

you need to do that where you bought the domain or where you are hosting it.
