[OT] Upgrade from 1.4.33 to 1.4.45?

How can i easily upgrade from 1.4.33 to 1.4.45 which is the newest update? apt-get install lighttpd is bare old. I want to upgrade to the latest version without losing anything. Any ideas?
I'm on ubuntu 14x

Please stop spewing and start attempting to answer your own questions. Kindly use a search engine and go read some of the fine documentation that is out there. (RTFM) If you have a question about a specific piece of documentation, please ask a specific question, and reference the documentation from which your question emanates.
lighttpd runs on many platforms, many distros, and many versions of those platforms and distros.
If you have a specific question about a specific distro, then RTFM how to maintain packages for that specific distro (i.e. Ubuntu)
If you have questions about the Ubuntu package of lighttpd, then RTFM and ask further Ubuntu-specific questions in the Ubuntu forums.
