Portable lighttpd for Linux, which does not need to be installed

Added by Lisa-R. about 4 years ago

I am looking for a portable lighthttpd, for a portable Wiki (DokuWiki from https://download.dokuwiki.org/, which can be used under Linux (Debian etc.) e.g. sometimes on the stick, sometimes on the desktop etc.

Or is there even a portable version of lighttpd, which can be used under Linux as well as under Windows.

THX

lighttpd is provided as a package in most major Linux distros, and lighttpd is available as a package under cygwin on Windows.

Now I have found a portable version of lighttpd for windows:

Does anyone have an idea where I can find a portable version of the lighttpd for Debian Linux that does not require installation on the machine? I need a version that is already compiled, because I can't do that myself.
