413 Request Entity Too Large [solved]
Added by Dan almost 14 years ago
Hello,
On embedded Linux (buildroot) system with Kernel 2.6.33, using lighttpd 1.4.29, I am getting 413-Request Entity Too Large error when trying to upload 28 meg files with http.
I have added server.max-request-size = 1000000 and server.network-backend = "writev" to the config file. I also tried server.network-backend = "write". My PHP is version 5.2.14. The http data folder is writable and has plenty of room. The strange thing is it works with smaller files but not anything bigger than 27 megs. Also, if the system is rebooted then sometimes the upload will work once. I have tried both FireFox and IE web browsers, no difference. My config file is below. What could be causing this behavior?
Thank you,
# lighttpd configuration file # # use it as a base for lighttpd 1.0.0 and above # # $Id: lighttpd.conf,v 1.7 2004/11/03 22:26:05 weigon Exp $ ############ Options you really have to take care of #################### ## Adding the line below to the config file fixed the problem.
server.upload-dirs=( "/data" )

thanks for this. I was pulling my hair out over this.
