How to get support - please read

If you have a problem and would like some help, please provide as much factual and observational information about the problem and your setup as possible. It is better to have too much information than too little.
Things you should always include:
- Operating System (OS) you are using (Linux (which distro?), FreeBSD, Solaris, etc.) + version
- Version of lighttpd:
lighttpd -v
- Configuration you are using (you can use a nopaste service like http://paste.lighttpd.net or inline your config into your post using the "C" or "pre" buttons in the text form)
lighttpd -tt -f /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
lighttpd -p -f /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
- What client you used (Firefox, Chrome, browser, curl, etc.)?
If possible, try to provide information about how to reproduce the problem.
Did you clear your browser cache? Did you try in an Incognito or Private Browsing window? Did you try on a different device? Did you try a different browser?
Did you test with the most recent lighttpd release to see if your concern has already been addressed?
In case you found the solution to your problem by yourself or someone on IRC was able to help you, please post the solution in your original thread so that others having a similar problem can see it.
Have you taken a moment to separate factual information -- which you can observe -- from subjective opinions, incorrect assumptions, and unsupported judgements/conclusions? (If your assumptions were correct, you probably would not be asking any questions. If your judgements and conclusions were correct and supported by factual, observable information, then you would not be asking any questions.)
Did you describe the bigger picture and the problem you are trying to solve, in addition to the specific thing you are trying? Why are you attempting to do <specific thing>?
Are you asking an XY problem? https://xyproblem.info/ (external link)
The XY problem is asking about your attempted solution rather than your actual problem.

lighttpd volunteers are volunteers. Please make an effort to read the lighttpd wiki documentation and to play an active role in helping yourself, and helping our volunteers to help you. Thank you.
