Description

When running lighttpd-1.5-svn with ldap support, the initial start of lighttpd with a users authenticating with ldap against AD works great but after awhile (about 10-15 mins and I have no timeouts set from what I can see) the clients will keep getting requests for re-authentication with NO success. Using 'service lighttpd restart' fixes the problem and the user continues on until the next 10-15mins.

A cron job that restarts the lighttpd every 5 mins seems to be a workaround. I am querying against an Active Directory. Lighttpd is built on a Dell 2950 Dual Quad-Cores running Fedora 5 with all the latest repos for all libs and kernels for Fedora 5. Both snapshots (1857 & 1992) and the svn checkout have this behavior.

Let me know if you need configs but I just used what was on the blogs and forums to set it up except of course using my own AD service account for low-level connection between lighttd and AD.

Thanks,

Kev.

lighttpd 1.4.40 restarts syscalls after SIGCHLD and should no longer have this issue.
Please open a new ticket if you experience similar problems in lighttpd 1.4.40
