Lighty Crashes Too Frequently

Description

Hi,

We are a webhosting company called Crucialparadigm. One of our servers has a lighty 1.4.9 installation.

The server keeps on crashing very frequently, sometimes once in 10 minutes.

At first, we thought it was due to RAM shortage(the server had 2GB RAM at that time) and so upgraded RAM to 3GB. Even then the down times continued to take place frequently.

Then we had found that the logs were found to be of massive size. The access.log was 4.7GB in size. So we had emptied all logs. But still the problem goes on.

Please let us know if you need any further information to help us in this issue.

You use fastcgi and have some load on the backends ?

If yes, I assume that this is fixed with this changeset r958.
