Description

mod_dirlisting should use the mime type "application/xhtml+xml" for the dirlisting in XHTML instead of "text/html". The W3C discourages from the use of "text/html" for XHTML files -> http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml-media-types/#summary

Maybe there could be a directive in the config file like "dirlisting.use-xhtml-mime = (enable|disable)", so the administrator can decide whether to use it or not. (the IE can't understand the mime type/it can't understand XHTML correctly...)

There is another interesting article about this problem: http://hixie.ch/advocacy/xhtml
