Description

hi,

i use lighttpd on a (i believe) "unicoded" slackware 11.0 machine

locale output:

LANG=hu_HU.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE=C
LC_MONETARY="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="hu_HU.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

my problem is that there is no line in the sample lighttpd.conf file to set character encoding sent by the server via the HTTP header.

till i didn't googled for the proper line, which is

dir-listing.encoding        = "utf-8"

it used iso-8859-1 encoding.

i think the line above should be included in the sample file, at least as a commented line.
