Redirect/hide port number in url ==> http://www.mysite.com:8888 to http://www.mysite.com

Hello Support,
I currently have an Apache MAMP install with Wordpress working on my server in port 8888, which can be reached externally by going to url "http://www.mysite.com:8888". I have an install of Lighttpd working on Port 80 which can be reached externally by going to "http://www.mysite.com. I only have a basic html page with on the lighttpd port 80 server.
What I want to do is....
1) Automatically redirect users from http://www.mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com:8888 without the port number 8888 appearing in url.
2) Ensure the port number never appears in the url when accessing the site "http://mysite.com:8888".
Please see my lighttpd config file attached:
Thank you for your help

I would also like to see a possible solution to this. Specifically masking or hiding port 4000 when used with FastCGI.
