[OT] Is LIGHTPD finished? (=> no)

This project is starting to look like its dead to me?
I've been with Lighty now for three years, and I see that 1.4.36 is in motion to fix ten issues, but I'm beginning to get nervous about hanging my production server hat on what is beginning to look like an unsupported system. I would rather not switch to something else as Lighty is without doubt the best, but the lack of anything happening on this site makes me wonder if it is worth continuing with.
Anyone have any input or comments that might be useful to know?

- it isnt dead if issues are found we will fix them.
- many devs on the projects have jobs too and most of them don't revolve around lighty.
- there is lighttpd2, which btw runs on some bigger sites already.
