No, .co.uk is not supported because there is no way to make it work for all domains like that. There are too many that one would have to hardcode.

The documentation gives this example:

}

You could use a full domain pattern for other domains. Or is the recommendation to use both ev and simple vhost together in that case?

Ah sorry, it does make sense to have the full domain.
