[UE] lighttpd will no longer start

I have tried removing, and re-installing. Does not help.

  1. uname -a

I fixed this by doing an: apt purge lighttpd, then reinstalling.

I had previously tried an: apt remove lighttpd, then reinstalling, but that did not work.

For some reason, the purge did it. No idea why.

I am still getting a 403 error when I try to load .php files. I can load .html files, but not .php files.

Everything you posted about Ubuntu and Ubuntu packaging of lighttpd is related to Ubuntu.

Why did you get such a response here? Please re-read your posts and note that you failed to provide basic details of the version of lighttpd you were using, even though you provided lots of Ubuntu details about your Ubuntu system. Ubuntu Ubuntu Ubuntu)
