[Solved] mod_proxy_core backport from 1.5 to 1.4
Added by s.gleissner over 14 years ago
Hello,
are there any backports planned from Lighttpd 1.5 (old development branch) back to 1.4 (stable)?
I am just asking, because the "Faster FastCGI" feature, which is located in the 1.5-only mod_proxy_core module, was implemented more than 3 years ago and because of the new 2.0 branch it seems to be unlikely that the 1.5 branch will become the stable branch. Or does it just make no sense to port the module back to 1.4 because of internal dependencies?
Greetings,
Simon

not very likely as a few parts of the core got changed for mod_proxy_core.

FastCGI performance in lighttpd 1.4.x is quite fast, and improved with the common backend code consolidation some years ago.
