Submitters lost in tracker?

Added by Olaf-van-der-Spek over 16 years ago

Hi,

It seems all submitters have been lost and have been replaced by admin. Could this be restored?

They should have been replaced by Anonymous; as there are no "named" anonymous changes possible in redmine we there were only two possiblities:
  • Create an account for every "user" (even for the unregistered ones)
  • Use Anonymous

I think we did the right decision; many user "names" were just not usable. The old username (for emails: without the @host part) is appended to the text of such commits like this:

-- old name

Hmm, it should've been possible to keep the registered ones and only replace the unregistered ones with anonymous.

I already noticed that some tickets are owned by "admin" which definately is wrong but not a severe problem.
Some things didn't go well with the migration - still a lot to fix but imho it will pay out in the end.
Thanks for mentioning the issue though.

but not a severe problem.

How can I keep track or my existing reports? I can't search for them by author, I'm not notified of any updates by email...
