lol ... same question here too man ... Why is there always fight between Open Source and Shareware. Its us who suffer, however there are always people who have got solutions to your problem. Just keep googling the internet and also put little bit efforts of your own. Just remember the basics of all OS are same and the configruation files aren't much different either. So just take care of installation of the MODS and ADDONS and you might see through your problem.

It is not that much of a fight. It is more like "why should we care about a complete different system which always has to do things its own way and no one of the developers uses?"

If it works for you, good. If not... well, that is your problem.

And as a sidenode: we only have the select() event mechanism on windows, which doesn't perform well if you get a little more than a few requests.

lighttpd can be compiled and run under the cygwin64 environment on Windows. lighttpd can also run on a linux distro running under Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) on more recent Windows 10.
