In 1.4.13 lighttpd doesn't use any gthread functions. Can you check the version of your lighttpd and perhaps check the strace (see wiki for how to report a bug) what is throwing the GThread-ERROR.

Which Debian release and which glibc and which glib2 is this ?

Hi,
I've seen the same thing on Ubuntu on another Gnome package where the libpthread-dev and libpthread20 packages have a different pthread implementation than libc; I removed those two packages and all was good.
