Description

i really think you should add --with-fastcgi=dir to specify the path to the fastcgi devkit.
atm you have to use LDFLAGS="-Ldir/lib" and CPPFLAGS="-Idir/include" to find it in nonstandard locations.

furthermore i wonder why mod_fastcgi gets enabled although the devkit wasnt found. Is the dev-kit usage optional?

it is not needed at all. It is just used for the test-cases.
