etag.use-mtime option¶

Description¶

defines if the ETag generation algorithm will use the modified-time value of the file.

Default: enabled

If you have multiple lighttpd servers serving static content then you should make sure that the static content on all your servers has the same mtime (modified-time) if static content is duplicated across servers.
