[Solved] lighttpd redirects HTTPS -> HTTP (going through CloudFlare)

Added by hvisage almost 7 years ago

Hi there,

Config:
http://paste.lighttpd.net/22#5PyBL3GwWi0EeQkiV0Beb6eD

I have this "fun" that it keeps redirecting the HTTPS request (seen in access.log) to HTTP, especially for directory listing, ie. request for https:/server.name.dom/dls -> http://server.name.dom/dls/

I can't see anything in the config that would do that, but using the non-CloudFlare domain, works like a charm.

Debian 8
lighttpd/1.4.35 (ssl) - a light and fast webserver

According to banter on IRC: check CloudFare panel to configure if CloudFlare is connecting to server as HTTP or HTTPS.

Also, I highly suggest testing with latest lighttpd (lighttpd 1.4.45) https://debian.lighttpd.net/
