[NoResponse] Sending Huge data over Rest call

Added by jasminder about 6 years ago

We are currently using lighttpd 1.4.32 and everything is working pretty fine. Now we are planning to update to 1.4.48 version. My doubt is that in lighttpd 1.4.32 Rest calls with small data upto 1174 kB(observed) work fine, when we send a data bigger than this, it doesn't work as expected. Lighttpd crashes. We had this thing tested recently. My concern is that if we upgrade to 1.4.48 will the message size issue get resolved. Was there a size limit in 1.4.32, that we were unaware of?

As posted in #2864:
1.4.32 was released in Nov 2012, over 5 years ago. Whatever the issue was, it was likely fixed in the 1000+ commits and 16 versions of lighttpd released since then. Please do not report bugs that have already been fixed long ago. You should first test with the most recent release.

==> Since you know that you have a scenario that is broken in 1.4.32, you should test that scenario yourself in 1.4.48.
