Multiple certificates for one website?

Added by urbsnchaoz over 1 year ago

I currently use a letsencrypt certificate for my https SSL certificate, works like a champ. However, letsencrypt certificates do not support client certificate authentication. Is there a way to use both the letsencrypt cert for SSL and a different openssl cert for client certificate authentication?

Did you try reading the documentation? lighttpd TLS documentation

I think you meant "dear friend, i believe some references to client certificate authentication are in the lighttpd TLS wiki page. You may want to review this to see if it answers your excellent question and then get back to this awesome group."

Thank you for your great response. To answer your question, I did! In fact, that is where I started when i spun up my webserver using the letsencrypt certs, thank you for asking. I'll keep trying things to see if I can make any more forward progress and try not to waste anyone's time any further.

Thank you so much!

Your question is not excellent, and I am not your friend.

Your question is "how do I set up client certificate authentication" and the answer is: start with RTFM.

If you have a more specific question, then ask a more specific question that demonstrates you have started with the documentation and made some effort.
